Care

 

All our brass products are made of solid brass. These are not brass coated products like most other brass hardware commonly available in the market.
Hence, our products age and lose their shiny, polished appearance over time. Many of our brass products have been treated with a clear lacquer to help keep the polished brass look for longer. Although designed to keep the brass shinier for longer, lacquers are not indestructible and will still break down over time.
If your product has been lacquered, we recommend wiping over with a soft cloth and a water/mild liquid soap solution every few weeks to remove any dirt or debris. Do not use any abrasives cleaning products (including most household cleaners) as this will break down the lacquer coating. If your product is unlacquered or the lacquer coating has worn off, wipe the brass product
with a cloth mildly soaked in thinner. Apply a small amount of Brasso to a dry rag or cloth and polish with the grain of the brass. Apply a thin layer of wax to finish the polishing process. You could check out a tiny DIY brass polish video to assist you with the polishing process.
